This document is provided for product transparency and legal compliance. Sivan Ai is an autonomous, non-custodial multi-chain settlement protocol for milestone-backed Service Agreements and automated bank cashouts.
This Data Retention Policy explains how long Sivan Technologies keeps records related to accounts, verification, Service Agreements, payment coordination, transactions, support, security, and compliance.
1. Retention Principles
- We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate business, legal, provider, compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, security, audit, and dispute purposes.
- Some financial records cannot be deleted immediately because statutory payment, tax, compliance, or fraud prevention obligations mandate minimum retention periods.
- Retention periods may be extended where there is a legal hold, active dispute, regulatory inquiry, or security investigation.
2. Typical Retention Periods
| Record type | Typical retention period | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Account records | Active account + up to 6 years | Account support, fraud prevention, legal claims, and compliance. |
| Transaction/payment records | 5–7 years | Accounting, tax, provider reconciliation, disputes, and compliance. |
| KYC/KYB references | 5–7 years or provider requirement | Identity, business, sanctions, fraud, and regulatory obligations. |
| Audit logs | 6 years | Security, admin accountability, incident review, and regulatory audit. |
| Webhook/provider logs | 2–6 years depending on transaction | Debugging, provider reconciliation, disputes, and transaction evidence. |
| Support tickets | 2 years, or 6 years if compliance-related | Customer support, dispute handling, fraud review, and evidence retention. |
| Security logs | 12–24 months | Threat detection, abuse prevention, and incident response. |
| Backups | 30–180 days | Business continuity and disaster recovery. |
| Marketing preferences | Until withdrawn + suppression list retained | Consent management and opt-out compliance. |
3. Financial and Ledger Integrity
On-chain settlement records (such as block numbers, smart account addresses, and transaction hashes) exist permanently on public blockchain consensus layers and cannot be modified or purged by any party.
